Dd-wrt download for buffalo whr-300hp version 1

Download dd-wrt. Download tftp. You may wish to print or download this, here is a PDF document pdf. After flashing it's important to perform a hard reset, otherwise the router probably won't work correctly.

Factory Defaults is the preferred method. Get the files from the link provided just above. DDNS does at the time of this writing Oct not work with any recent vsp2 build. It should generally work with every build below and including , but does in fact not on this router.

On this router you need anything up to and including to get DDNS to work. It seems support for this router is still experimental and not yet official. Please see Installation for more information. Remember to follow the peacock thread first for background [1] , use this page to identify your router model correctly, and see Where do I download firmware?

NOTE: For some models you can use the ddadder program. The web interface on a Buffalo router cannot be used the very first time to convert the Buffalo router from factory firmware to DD-WRT. I unwrapped my new router, plugged it into a cheap hub and my fedora FC11 box into the same hub. An HP printer was also on the hub. I used firefox to browse to the Buffalo web based management page and selected firmware upgrade. The box eventually showed all green lights but I couldn't get the wrt web based management tool to come up - until I removed the hub from the equation.

Then I used wrt's web tool to down load "whr-hp-gn. I'm up and running. I'll find a different unit to use moving forward, and will check the router database first. If you don't see it on the FTP or the anywhere else the answer is none, there is no firmware but what you get from their site in which you can use on that unit. You can however request that unit get community support, till then though I realize this thread is six months stale, but it comes up when searching for community builds for the WHRHP.

The WHRHP are pretty cheap these days and have detachable antennas that make them pretty useful when paired with an inexpensive Superpass directional antenna. Oh, and you can save your settings from the stock Buffalo "Pro" dd-wrt load which isn't available on their website! Took me five minutes to switch over and everything came right up.
