TomasStew May 11 Great, that I can share music with my friends. A few days ago, I would say Spotify is the best music and podcast app. But the changes to the library system are so bad that I am very disappointed after system updates. Everything just turned into a jumbled list of everything I followed.

Stuward May 1 Tried Apple Music for free but after the trial I wend back to Spotify. The UI is just has a better workflow to me. I like it. I did download it but impossible to register. I tried all: Apple, Facebook and Spotify, which tells me: Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource.

Jeepin-dave Aug 11 As a streaming service, it's just okay, but the auto run at login happens even when set to NOT do that. It's not that good to put up with poor programming and even worse testing. KristenS Aug 8 Am I old or does this app suck? I find the interface hard to figure out, and I'm pissed at the way it auto-launches every damn time regardless of how many times I ensure it's NOT a login item. I love the service, but hate the app. It's the slowest app I've ever used on macOS—and this is on a 1-year-old computer with and without hardware acceleration turned on.

I give the app two stars because it has so many features you can't find on the horrible web player. But I really wish we'd see a complete rewrite using actual Apple HUD elements instead of a slap-dash port of the Windows code. But of course, when they change chips, they'll have to rewrite again and fat chance that'll happen anytime soon.

I wish they'd just make APIs and let third party developers create their own competing apps for the service. I just love this service a selection of songs always beats right in my heart. Derekcurrie Sep 20 More invasive. More expensive.

Forbidden on my Macs. I have over songs. Listening to my favourite music is the best thing I love about life! This software constitutes a problem with privacy, not to mention pays out almost nothing to artists. I would rather buy music upfront. Derekcurrie Sep 18 Spotify is forbidden on my Macs.

Here's why: It's rare to find a more invasive application. I've dug around in the Library folders to kill off all traces of daemons, automatically loading processes, login items, ad nauseam. A big [expletives deleted] to Spotify for creating the worst app I've used so far in LeroyMorrison Jun 7 Best music app ever. I love the dark mode as well. Best music app ever No lags, bugs etc Thanks guys for working on it. LeroyMorrison Apr 28 Best music service that there is!

I love the dark mode interface and that it works so well between devices. Everyone should be using Spotify! MartaTessy Mar 2 The number 1 app on my Mac. Always open and always playing. I really love the Discovery Weekly. Does not disappoint. For me - better than google play music. I'm not an advanced user to judge the functionality. I just started to use it and I like it so far :.

Joseluismen Oct 24 I like more to have the classic ones, and many complete discographies although they lack some. Compatible with old devices, until iPhone 3GS lately with some problem.

Apple demands last version of everything, beginning by model of computer and devices. Very many better design than the one of Apple. Very easy to use. As much in devices as in mac, it works better and more clearly.

Apple demands several clicks to be able to listen in album. And not always it is possible to listen to a complete CD. Better connections with related artists. More options and better selected. Four or the five you Apple only gives that everybody relates, and so you do not discover really new artists. In Spotify, it is on the contrary, very abierto, many relations and a world of new developments. As much noveles as already consecrated. I like how it looks and the algorithm of figuring out what you might like is quite great.

Easier to discover new music now. Marcossi Jun 3 I don't use it on my Mac as many people say it's a CPU sucker. Widber Apr 4 Spotify has dropped the option to share an album or song with a friend. I wrote to complain, they claimed it was to make the application better. CharlesTheMacman Mar 31 Still the major music stream provider to me. The latest version introduces autoplay: if your chosen music finishes, Spotify will just put on some random music.

It can be switched off but is on by default.
